Roseburg HOG --Dinner Ride this Saturday May 1, 2010 (yes, May Day already and time to ride!)

 Here's the way to start May off with a smile and some good riding!
 
 
Time: 2:00 pm with ksu @ 2:30 pm
Place: Albertson's Parking Lot
It's a TnT Ride!

Destination:  North (take a ride on the wild side and try the unknown....just go for it)!!!

SHORT NOTICE - 1/186th Demoblization Friday4/30/2010 to Roseburg, Oregon

This will be a 2 stage mission and subject to last minute changes so watch your emails closely for the next 2 1/2 days:
 
Stage 1:
    Escort buses from Santiam Rest stop to Roseburg
 
    Staging location:  Garden Valley Chevron, exit 125
    Staging Time:       9:30am
    KSU:                     10:00am
    Ride Captian:        Terry Mooney
 
    We will be traveling up to the Santiam Rest stop with a fueling stop in Albany to pick up the solider's buses coming from Ft. Lewis.  Top off you tank and stomachs before we leave this may be a long day.  Also, you may want to put a couple of snacks in the saddle bag for a pick-me up.  Anyone wanting to join in along the route coming to Roseburg, fall in behind the buses.
 
Stage 2:
    Flagline at Roseburg High
 
        Staging location:    Roseburg High School
        Staging Time:         2:30pm
        Ride Captian:         Linda Mooney
 
    Please bring a 3X5 american flag.  Buses are scheduled to arrive at 3pm with the Service starting at 4pm.  We will be providing a flagline for the buses's arrival and for the service.

UPDATE!!!!-Short Notice Update info for 1/186th Homecoming Saturday4/24/2010 to Medford Oregon

We have just gotten word that there is another change.  The guys are so excited to be home and the buses have left Ft. Lewis an hour early.  So, we need to move our schedule up by one hour.
 
New Staging time

Love's Gas Station, off I-5 exit 119 Roseburg Oregon,
Staging time: 9:15    Briefing: 9:30 a.m.   KSU 9:45 a.m.

We will be providing escorting buses being used to bring all 4 Companies of 1/186th to Medford tomorrow morning as they travel south on I-5 from Ft Lewis, Washington to Medford, the PGR will try to cover the entire
route-the Northern groups will be picking up their areas as the buses travel through.  We are hoping for support also from the local communities as our Heroes travel home.

Love's Gas Station, off I-5 exit 119 Roseburg Oregon,
Staging time: 10:15    Briefing: 10:30 a.m.   KSU 10:45 a.m.

We will providing escort for buses going down to Medford as well as coming back north for Charlie Company after the Demobilization Ceremony.  We will be connecting with the Buses in a rolling handoff at Exit 119 of I-5 (Love's Gas Station Exit). The Buses are expected at 11: 00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. in Roseburg. We need all riders gased up, and pulling out of Love's with the group promptly at 10:45 a.m. We will be poised and ready for the convoy on the side of I-5 at the end of the onramp.  Please have your flags packed tight, your fuel tanks topped off, and your stomaches full before we leave the staging area at 10:45 a.m.

Spigelburg Stadium at South Medford High School parking lot 
815 S. Oakdale, Medford
Staging: 1:15 p.m. Briefing 1:30 p.m.

Location: Standdown-Coos Bay's Bravo Company's return has been delayed. They will have a seperate Homecoming, possibly next week, 4/28/2010 or 4/29/2010. We will post the information for this Homecoming when the information is available.

The soldiers will form at the Medford Armory and will leave the Armory, marching in battalion formation
down Steward to South Medford High School for the Demobilization Ceremony.  We will be helping provide flaglines
down Steward and at the Stadium for our Troops. 
 
After the Ceremony:
 
All Companies will be released at this Ceremony.

It's a Homecoming for 5 Companies of the Oregon National Guard!!

  Ladies & Gentlemen of the PGR:
 
It is with great pleasure that I announce that we have been invited to
participate in the Homecoming and Demobilization Ceremony for the 5 
Southern Companies: Companies A, B, C, D, and F of the Oregon National Guard 1/186.
We have been requested to provide flaglines and escorts home for a portion of the Oregon National Guard returning
from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Roseburg HOG meeting minutes and information

  Good Morning and welcome to Spring, daylight savings time, and chocolate overload from your Easter leftovers!
Please find attached your meeting minutes from the March Monthly Roseburg HOG meeting.
We have a special monthly meeting arranged for you tomorrow, Tuesday 4/6/2010 at Round Table Pizza @ 6:30 pm
(some of us come early to have a little pizza and of course talk)
The topic of this meeting is safety and with the increase in riders, obsticles and road hazzards you don't want to miss this meeting. Mark Doyle will be sharing information on what to do to help a downed or hurt rider/with his EMT experience he is one to listen to, Victoria will give us information on equipment and share her knowledge from Team Oregon and Phil Ferrone, our Safety Director will add information on helmets.  We are focusing on fun and safe riding by starting with the basics and building from there. 
 
Come join us for education, information, and fun. Find out about the upcoming rides and our trip to Yahats. We will of course have our usual 50/50, raffle drawing, and bone up on your Harley Trivia because the prize is a $45 gift card this month.
